Emergency safety shower units

High-Volume Decontamination Showers. Not Your Average Rental.

TJ Cole Services Group specializes in portable, self-contained emergency safety shower units (ESUs): trailer- and skid-mounted decontamination showers and eyewash stations that protect workers exposed to hazardous chemicals on industrial sites.

These are high-flow drench showers built to the ANSI Z358.1 specification, with heated water storage, lighting, alarms, and used-water containment. Every unit is tested and cleaned by qualified tradesmen before it reaches your site.

We support operations, maintenance, plant turnarounds, facility startups and commissioning, and environmental and safety programs across manufacturing, processing facilities, oil and gas, mining, utilities, logistics, and chemical handling.

Available as rentals anywhere in Canada, from a few weeks to multi-year deployments that stay put on permanent hazards. For sites that would rather own their unit, we coordinate a new build.

Common questions

Straight Answers

What exactly is an emergency shower unit (ESU)?

A self-contained decontamination station: high-volume drench shower, eyewash station, and drench hose built to ANSI Z358.1, with onboard heated water storage (400–600 gallons), lighting, alarms, pump controls, and used-water containment. It exists to flush hazardous chemicals off a worker in the first seconds of an exposure.

Do you rent showers for events, camping, or festivals?

No, and it matters. These are industrial emergency decontamination showers, not hygiene or comfort showers. They deliver an immediate high-flow drench designed to flush chemical contamination, and they are not suitable (or available) for events, festivals, camping, or any recreational use.

Are the units compliant for hazardous locations?

Units meet the ANSI Z358.1 specification and are suitable for Class I Division 2 hazardous locations. Tell us your site classification and we’ll confirm the right configuration.

Will they run through a northern winter?

Yes. Full insulation, building heaters, and temperature-controlled immersion heaters in the tank keep flushing fluid tepid and the unit operational through northern winters. Winter deployments are a specialty, not an exception.

What do the units need from my site?

A 30A 120V/240V power supply. Each unit ships with a 75 ft detachable power cable. Water and containment are onboard. No plumbing required.

Can I purchase a unit as well as rent one?

Yes. We coordinate the manufacture of new units for clients who need permanent or long-term coverage, and many start with a rental while their unit is built. See how purchasing works.
